Rama conference with Mogherini: We deserve the opening of negotiations
Prime Minister Edi Rama declared from the press conference with Federica Mogherini that Albania has done its homework and deserves the opening of negotiations.
Rama informed the public about the discussion he had in the meeting with the high representative of the EU.
"We are convinced that we have done all our homework. Albania speaks the language of results and deserves to open negotiations," Rama said.
"I am here with Ms. Mogherini, with whom I have discussed a number of important topics for our country and related to Albania's integration into the EU. The topic that was discussed between me and Ms. Mogherini was the opening of negotiations for Albania, as a cornerstone to build our European path through negotiations. We deserve the opening of negotiations, as we have worked on the priorities that the EU has set.
"We talked about several topics, including the talks between Kosovo and Serbia, as an important part of the region's integration into the EU as soon as possible. We as a government will fight for a better Albania, first and foremost for Albanian citizens, and then of course for entering the EU as an absolute priority," declared Prime Minister Rama.
