Serbia has exported 1 million euros since April 15, refers to Kosovo as a state

Sunday, 10 May 2020 10:17Serbia's imports to Kosovo have amounted to 15 million euros since April 1, when reciprocity with this country was established.
Customs spokesman Adriatik Stavileci said that these figures could change in the coming days. In an interview with Ekonomia Online, Stavileci added that since reciprocity came into effect, they have seen low imports, but that this number has started to increase.
"Since the removal of the 100 percent measure on April 1 of this year, until now, we have imported around 15 million euros of valuable products from Serbia, which means that at the beginning of April we saw a lower import, until as the days passed, this import started to increase," he said.
In addition to the food industry, medicines also come from Serbia. Stavileci says that some of them were donations, while the rest were commercial imports.
"Medicines are coming in from other countries, but we have also had imports of medications from Serbia, normally some have been donations and some have been commercial imports, but anyway, the main trend from Serbia is the food industry," he said.
Stavileci said that imports from Serbia have regular documentation and that they refer to Kosovo as a state and are in accordance with the Constitution, reports Ekonomia Oline.
"At the beginning of April, after the removal of the 100 percent tariff, we have seen some imports from Serbia that had problems with documentation, while over time, all imports that take place in Kosovo from Serbia are in order with the documentation that they submit to Kosovo customs. We cannot say that we have seen any case where there are irregular imports or where there are terms that do not refer to Kosovo as they should," he told EO.
