K-pop singer leaves group, accused of 'sex crime'

South Korean singer Taeil has left K-pop group NCT after being accused of a sexual offense, his label announced in a statement today.

His agency, SM Entertainment, released a statement on X, saying the NCT member will be leaving the boy group after learning that he was "indicted in a criminal case regarding a sex crime."

“We understood the seriousness of the matter and have decided that Taeil can no longer continue with the team’s activities,” the label said.

“We have discussed this matter with Taeil and it has been decided that he will leave the group.” The label added that he is cooperating with the police investigation.Indeksonline/
