Sports help improve vision

Sport is one of the most valuable activities for humans, both to keep fit and to prevent aging.

The whole organization benefits from physical activity, including organs such as the heart, cardiovascular and respiratory system, muscles and joints, etc.

But according to a study led by two Italian researchers from the University of Pisa, it has examined the impact of sports on the visual system, analyzing the phenomenon of biocular rivalry, or in other words, the performance of different signals coming through both eyes.

"We tested the effects of blindfolding one of the eyes for two hours on 20 adults under different conditions. "A part of the people who took part in the experiment sat down for both hours of the bandage, while the others were placed on a bicycle track," the researchers say.

The scientists noticed that the response of the visual system in people who were doing physical activity was better than in those who were sitting.

The results of this study, published in the journal "Current Biology", are of great importance for clinical research regarding widespread and incurable eye pathologies, one of which is known as "lazy eye".
