A voice that brings equality, the Ministry of Education invests in technology for blind people

In an important step towards equality and inclusion in education, the Ministry of Education led by Arbërie Nagavci has finalized the project "Providing equipment for the creation of vocal synthesis in the Albanian language for blind and visually impaired people".

This project will enable people with visual impairments to use digital devices in the Albanian language, significantly facilitating their access to learning and information, it writes. IndeksOnline.

According to data published by E-procurement, the estimated value of the contract was initially 1,000,000.00 euros, while it was finalized for 237,550.00 euros.

The winner of the tender was announced as the group of economic operators "Virtual Assistants JSC", "EDUSOFT" and "NTP Online", who will carry out the supply of equipment and the development of technology that enables the creation of vocal synthesis in the Albanian language.

With this initiative, the Ministry of Education is demonstrating its commitment to bringing innovation and equal opportunities to all students, making education more accessible, more inclusive and closer to the needs of each citizen.IndeksOnline/
