Three-minute exercise routine that has the same effect as 30 minutes at the gym
While some people love to spend hours in the gym, the vast majority of people look forward to completing an exercise session.
However, the good news is that an expert has discovered an intense three-minute routine that is just as effective as 30 minutes at the gym.
Australian physiotherapist Kusal Goonewardena says that intense exercise for a short amount of time will give you the same benefits as a modest 30-minute session at the gym.
He suggests a session of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) where you reach 85 percent of your maximum effort for three minutes.
You can achieve this by doing rope exercises, jumping jacks or sprinting.
The exercise is especially perfect for those who want to have a fit body but are short on time.
A HIIT routine involves high-intensity exercise for 20 to 40 seconds, followed by a short rest period. This should be repeated about 10 times.
