Indian train kills 14 workers sleeping on tracks
An Indian train has killed 14 migrants who had fallen asleep on the tracks while returning to their village after their workplaces were closed due to the spread of Covid-19.
The train driver tried to stop the freight train when he saw the workers lying on the tracks in the western state of Maharashtra, but was unable to, Reuters reports.
The ministry responsible for railways has announced that investigations have begun into this tragedy.
