Buried by her son/The moment when police pull a 79-year-old woman out of her grave alive after a few days

Police in China have exhumed an elderly disabled woman who was buried alive by her son in Jingbian county, Shaanxi province, in northwest China.

Authorities were alerted to the case after a call from the elderly woman's son. In the released video, police forces are seen trying to exhume the 79-year-old woman from the grave.

Despite being underground for three days, without water or food, the elderly woman fortunately managed to survive and is currently in hospital out of danger. It is not known what prompted the woman's son, identified by his surname Ma, to commit this macabre act. Meanwhile, it is reported that he has been arrested by the police and charged with attempted murder.
